30 Day Snap Challenge 5

30 Day Snap Challenge 5- Present wrapping

Button made by Sprinkle of glitter

Presents (once again sorry for photo quality-ipod)
Sooooo my photo for day five of the 30 day snap challenge is of the presents I have spent most of my evening wrapping. It is my bestest chum's bdayyyy coming up (exciting!!!) so I was wrapping the presents I bought for her! It took quite a while and quite a lot of selotape! Before I did the wrapping I also made her a birthday cake which was fun! I love making cakes or doing any sort of baking/cooking activities so if you would like to see any 'bakey' (pretty sure that's not a word?!) posts please let me know in the comments section!
Sorry for the late post been a very hectic evening full of chocolate, selotape and wrapping paper (not all together I may add!), hope you enjoy!
And just want to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my bestest chummy Phoebe, hope you have fabulousa day!
p.s. charging my camera tonight so better quality photos should hopefully be back for tomorrow!!! & this will soon be edited but there are no hashtags used in this post since I am typing on my Dad's computer and for the life of me cannot find the hashtag key haha!

30 Day Snap Challenge #4- Shopping!

Button created by Sprinkle of Glitter

Purchases! Sleek contour kit in light and Topshop lipstick on 'Ooh La La'
Soooo today's photo for the 30 Day Snap Challenge is a bit different, I was at work for most of the day and so had zero opportunity to take a photo there (and if I had it would probably have been of a plate of food haha), but after work I went for a mini shopping spree with Mum and decided I would use a photo of my cute purchases for today's snap challenge. So these are what I bought, some cute little socks (reminded me of the ones I used to wear in primary school!haha), a new sleek contour kit and a topshop lipstick (to fuel my ever growing hunger for every shade of lipstick!).
p.s. sorry for the crappola picture camera battery died so had to take photo on ipod!

Doggy sunbathing (what a cutie)

Today was another unusually toasty day for England! I was struggling on what to take a photo of for this post, until I saw my gorgeous little doggy sunbathing in the garden! He looked sooo cute I had to share it with everyone!

May Favourites

My favourites of May!

So as we are all aware May is over!!! This is particularly exciting for me as this means that all my as level exams are finished! ***WOOO!!!!!!*** (excited dance)
Since we are already 3 days into the month of June I thought I would update you on what I have been loving throughout May!

Barry M nail varnish in the colour 'Coral'

I have been loving wearing this colour on my nails, its a gorgeous orangey-coral colour and was definitely good at brightening up the dull English weather that we had for the majority of May. Even though the weather was not reflecting the fact that it was in actually Spring I decided to reflect the season through my nails! As well as being such a pretty colour, this nail varnish lasts on my nails for ages and doesn't break the bank at £2.99.

Les Miserbales DVD
Oh em geeeee! I cannot even describe how much i love this DVD!!! Ever since I saw it at the cinema I have been OBSESSED with it! As soon as I could I pre-ordered it on Amazon (haha). I'm not exactly sure how many times I have watched this DVD over the month of May, but I can be sure I cannot count it on two hands (I told you I'm obsessed!). I love every single member of the cast, and don't even get me started on the songs! They are definitely in the 'Most played' playlist in my ipod! Anyone who has not seen this DVD has no idea what they are missing, in my opinion in is definitely a must see for everyone!

Thumb ring from River Island

Thumb ring from River Island

I am a huge ring girl, with my collection ever increasing! One of my ring purchases last month was this little thumb ring from River Island, I have been wearing it pretty much every single day! I think the little hearts on it are soooo cute and for a cheaper ring so far I have experienced no transfer of colour! I would definitely recommend trying out River Island's rings to any other ring lovers!

Knotted ring from H&M
Knotted ring from H&M

This is another of my ring purchases from last month, it's a little knotted dirty-gold ring from H&M. H&M is a definite staple shop for me when it comes to browsing for affordable jewelry, they do some fab items and I rarely leave without buying something! I love this ring, its very simple and looks very pretty on its own, the colour is a bit different from my other rings which is what initially attracted me! I have had lots of compliments on this ring from friends and it will definitely be staying as part of my everyday jewelry.

Taylor Swift 'Wonderstruck' perfume

This is such a cute little perfume, I purchased it after my Tresor Midnight Rose perfume ran out, when my finances were a little sparse and considering the affordable price its such a lovely scent! It is quite a sweet fruity but also floral smell, which lasts pretty much all day! The little bottle is possibly my favourite part of this perfume, its so cute! It reminds me for some reason of Princess Jasmine from Disney's Aladdin (haha no idea why?). But if you're looking for a affordable, lovely smelling perfume I would definitely recommend nipping into your nearest drugstore and giving this a sniff!

Rimmel Lipstick by Kate Moss in colour 107

Rimmel Lipstick by Kate Moss in colour 107

This has without a doubt been my most worn lipstick throughout the month of May! I'm not usually one for such a dark vampy red colour, but when I Zoella wearing this in one of her youtube videos I knew I had to have it! It is a bit different and I love the way it looks on, I really think it is a colour that could suit everyone! It has a very creamy texture, stays put throughout the day and is very affordable at around £5.99 (something like that?). The only downside is that it makes it very obvious if your lips are a bit on the dry side! But I would definitely tell anyone to give this lippy a go (along with a good lip moisturising routine)

Tresemme Keratin Smooth deep conditioner

I am a bit picky when it comes to my deep conditioners, especially with my newly ombred hair (post on my ombre hair coming soon!). I like any deep conditioners I use to have a nice smell, this might be because of my extremely over sensitive nose but I judge them first by their smell! The smell of this product really reminds be of going to the heairdressers, which makes me feel really relaxed and pampered when putting it on my hair. Also, I don't like it to be too gloopy in texture or it can be very messy to get out of the pot and onto your hair and the texture of this product is a bit more creamy which I loved! This product makes my hair very soft, I only apply it to my ends as I don't want to increase the chance to my roots becoming greasy, also I have noticed that my hair looks even healthier and thicker since using this product. So again I would recommend for everyone to give Tresemme Keratin Smooth a whirl, to give your hair a treat!

I hope anyone that decides to try any of these products loves them as much as I have!

My photo #2- Reading in the sun

I decided to post this as my second photo for the 30 day snap challenge, admittedly it is not a part of my day ,however, I would say it is a pretty good description of how I have spent today! I spent the whole of the day sunbathing in my garden reading this book, which I would definitely recommend! The sunglasses are a recent purchase from primark and I luurve them!!! I will definitely try and make tomorrows photo during the day!

My Photo #1- Sunny day
My garden

I decided to use a photo of my garden for my first photo in the 30 day snap challenge as today has been a nice sunny day and much of it has been spent outdoors (attempting to catch some rays), so I see this photo as reflecting the start of some nice summery weather!

I hope more people take part in this tag, if you to make sure you check out Sprinkleofglitter for details on what to do!

Enjoy!

My favourite make-up brushes

Real Techniques make-up brushes...

I am a huge huge huge fan when it comes to anything make-up related, brushes being no exception! My favourite brand of brushes are Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman, they are amazing quality; the brushes are sooooo soft and they are affordable too!
I came across these brushes through my love of youtube, one of the owners of the channel 'Pixiwoo' is Samantha Chapman (the creator of these brushes). I would definitely recommend checking out these brushes and Sam and Nic Chapman of 'Pixiwoo' on youtube, they are both make-up artists and do fabulous make-up tutorials!

My make-up brush collection

Face brushes in my vintage Marmite tin

Eye brushes in white tin

Face brush collection

Powder brush
I love the powder brush, it has such a large surface which makes it so easy to sweep my Rimmel Stay Matte powder over my face, I always keep this brush in my handbag whenever I go anywhere it is so handy and is of such a size that it would never get lost in my bag!

Blush brush

I use the blush brush (surprisingly) to apply blusher to the apples of my cheeks, the shape of the brush makes it so easy to apply the colour to exactly where you want it! I sometimes also use this brush to bronze my face in the summer, for those days where I am looking a bit to pasty for my own good!

Contour brush

The contour brush is what I use to contour my (otherwise non-existent) cheekbones being so mall it makes the application so precise and if I only apply bronzer to the tip I can use the edges to blend, I also use this brush to highlight different areas of my face.

Buffing brush
I use the buffing brush to apply my foundation. This is such an amazing brush, it applies my foundation so flawlessly; leaving no streaks and allowing me to blend it seamlessly into my neck (to avoid tide lines).

Pointed foundation brush
I only occasionally use this brush to apply my foundation since I am so in love
with the buffing brush for foundation application. When I do use this brush for my foundation I use it on days where I feel i need more coverage, I use it to concentrate foundation onto these problem areas for maximum coverage.

Detailer brush
I use the detailer brush to apply concealer to my problem areas, I either use it to apply concealer to any blemishes I may have or to apply concealer to any under eye discolouration.

Eye brush collection

Deluxe crease brush
I use the deluxe crease brush when applying a darker colour of eye shadow in my socket for extra definition, it blends colours amazingly and its flat top makes it super easy to use!

Base shadow brush
The base shadows brush is the brush that I use to apply a wash of colour to my lid, the brush applies eye shadows effortlessly and can be used to blend any unwanted lines.

Brow brush

I use the brow brush to fill in my rather sparse brows, I see  a  strong brow as being very important in a make up look as the frame my eyes. Without this brush to fill in my eyebrows I would feel like I had lost a very important feature on my face.

I love the colours these brushes come in too, they are so pretty and I find having pretty make-up brushes makes doing my make-up even more exciting!
I love giving you guys my opinions of all things make-up related, because I love my make-up!!! So please any readers let me know if you enjoy this type of thing and I will to some more similar posts!
